Dar: Hey Dr. Cabral. What are your thoughts on the trend of women booking post pregnancy makeovers from cosmetic surgeons while still in early stages of pregnancy? Shouldn't they explore options of safe exercise, healthy nutrition and try working to get their so-called ideal body or is it really a non-issue and it's okay many are now going that route to get the "celeb" body weeks after giving birth? My friend is considering to do it and I really want to tell her try other options but the procedure and results are so appealing for them and I am not sure of longterm or potential health risk to properly caution her. BTW, have a great day.

Jane: Hi Dr. Cabral I was wondering what your approach would be to try to shrink a benign Schwannoma tumor, and if you have any knowledge to regain damage nerves caused by it. I have one that was discovered last year but was told it has been there for around 30 years.Because of the size and the fear of damaging more nerves the surgeon at Brigham and women’s was only able removed part of the tumor. The remaining part is about 4cm by 5cm located at L5 to S2. With no feelings/numbness on the left side of it and down the left leg. Currently I am trying acupuncture once a month and just purchased a infrared sauna and I’ve been doing 21 to 28 day detoxes 2X a year for the past 10 years. Any thoughts would be appreciated.Thanks for all you do!

Carmen: Is it true that blending vegetables and fruits leads to a massive loss of both nutrients and fibre given the oxidation?

Simon: Hello Dr Stephen 'Smoothie King' Cabral! How about a smoothie masterclass'? I have made smothies my go breakfast but I have so many questions, even after listening to all the related podcasts and your book. I am a hard gainer (Vata/Pita) with a large apetite and health goals of: lean muscle gain, longevity and healing my gut (I am half way through your CBO gut protocols). My questions are:I need to add quite a bit of fat (coconut cream, avocado, eggs, nuts or MCT oil) or carbs/fibre (banana, cauliflower, oats) or protien (eggs) to my shakes to make them satiating and get me through to lunch (2-3hr+). Does adding too much fat/fibre/protein make them harder to digest and reduce the benefits of having a smoothie, or is this still optimal as long as it is all blended?Are there downsides (for digestion) to putting too many different ingredients in a smoothie? Any food combinations to avoid ? Or does blending make this all ok? At present I have 8-15 ingredients, including: coconut milk, fruit: 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup blueberries + strawberries; vegies/fiber: cooked cauliflower, raw spinach; protein: 2 eggs, collagen protien and/or hemp protien; fats: coconut cream or MCT oil, avocado, almonds or coconut flesh; spices: cinnamon, ginger, turmeric! And even cooked rice or cold porrige when I need to fuel an endurance workout. Too much? Should I stick to larger amounts of fewer ingredients or is a diverse mix ok?If i am already well hydrated (12+oz water upon waking and ongoing through day) do I need to add so much extra water to my smoothie? Are there benefits to diluting my smoothie beyond hydration and weight loss (filling up on water)?Why sip the shake over an hour? If I am hungry can I just drink it at a normal pace (10mins)?Does the normal '3hr+ between meals' apply if it is a blended smoothie (in my case a substantial one) and is this from the end of drinking if you sip over an hour?Thanks so much!-Simon
