Janine: Dear (team) Stephen, First if all i would like to dat that i absolutely love your podcast, very inspiring!! I have a question about the 21 Detox: I live in the Netherlands, So it is not possible for me to order the ‘all nutricion proteinpowder’. What can I choose instead of the poeder to make my morning shake with? (So I get the protein en vitamins that are in the poeder). Thank you in regard for answering. Deanna: Hi there, I’ve been dealing with intestinal issues since 2010. I eat relatively healthy, drink lots of water and exercise. I’ve tried diets/pills but it never seems to be the answer to my problems. I drink a herbal tea every night in order to have a bowel movement in the morning. I don’t have extreme symptoms, I have occasional gas and bloating but I am always constipated and usually very irritatable. I feel I may have a bacterial overgrowth. I’d like to finally get to the bottom of this and heal my gut, balance my gut and get to living a life that does not revolve around my gut issues. Could you please help me with this. I am willing to do whatever it takes. Thank you. Deanna Doherty 

Linda: Your site was recommended (from friends) that got their health improved over three months. I have been sick for over 5 years double over with stomach and intestinal pain, bowels vary from diarrhea, severe gas, upper reflex, constipation, bleching, my rectum is always burning. I have many test and the results were negative, I was told to take nexium 2x a day for the rest of my life, I am not on any regular medication due to the high cost. I took myself off of the stomach pills because there is little results, I just stopped Gabepentin, migraine medication. I suffer with asthma. I am so frustrated and with no medical insurance I don’t know were to find help. The last 5 years I have noticed my tigger foods any thing in onion family, garlic, black pepper, sugar, nutmeg are a few that give me extreme pain. My question is how can I narrow my search to what will help, I started a program in September protein shakes and have lost over 50 pounds but I am still very over weight. I also have autoimmune disease since 1995. Thank you Linda 

Cara:  Hi Dr. Cabral! I give my 2 1/2 year old 1/4 scoop of your DNC in her morning smoothie, 1/4 teaspoon of your DFV plus I was giving her Klaire Lab Infant probiotic still but I just ran out. Not sure if that was the best for her infant to 2 years, but it's what had been recommended to me. Can I give her a portion of your Daily Probiotic at this point in time? As far as boosting immune system before traveling via airplanes I always would give her elderberry, extra probiotic and I'd sprinkle camucamu on top of that concoction. Is Camucamu still a good choice or could I give her a portion of the Full Spectrum Vitamin C? She is about 23 pounds. Thank you for all you do!!

Cara:  Hi Dr. Cabral! I am almost through your Rain Barrel Effect book - it is absolutely incredible and very practical for everyone as a foundation. I'm curious about your take on furniture - couches and beds without flame retardants, they are hard to find. We got ourselves an Intellibed when I was pregnant because it doesn't have flame retardants - they use silica thread to serve that purpose. We got my daughter a Naturpedic mattress. We got a couch at a boutique place where it was refurbished and no chemicals. Just thought I'd check in and see your mattress / pillow recommendations. I know you gave a great bamboo sheet recommendation. In gratitude!! Thank you for all you do!!

Donna:  Greetings Dr. Cabral, I have three options of daily contact lenses I'm looking at and would love your advice on the following;1. Acuvue Moist contacts in a solution of 58% H2O in buffered saline with povidone. 2. Bio True contacts in a solution of 78% water immersed in a solution of borate buffered saline. 3. Aqua Comfort Plus in a solution of 31% nelfilcon A, 69% water, in buffered saline containing PEG and HPMC. The saline may contain up to 0.05% Poloxamer. Also, are contacts safe to wear out in the sun or does the sunshine effect the material of the contacts like heat does to plastic bottles? I've heard from another functional medicine practitioner (Evan Brand) that the GI-Map genetic based stool test is the best stool test on the market. I am wondering why you feel Biohealth's is superior to GI Map's stool test? Thank-you

Ann Marie: Hi there! New listener, my daughter turned me onto you and so happy to have found you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I'm a 67 year old woman, my question is how do you know if you have arthritis? I have had pain for about 6 months that started in the hip, then moved to shoulder and now back. It seems the pain is moving around my body. At its worst, it is at a 8/10. I have been taking Ibuprofen for pain but obviously don't want to take that everyday. What can I do? I know I can clean up my diet a bit so what should I absolutely stay away from? All the best and thank you so much!

Sean: Hi Dr. CabralI’ve been listening to your podcasts for the last few months and I’m really loving them! I have a question for a friend of mine that’s dealing with an issue. For the past 5 years she has been experiencing a sharp pain in her right side (just below ribs) and she’s gone to a general practitioner several times to get help. They’ve done ultrasounds and X-rays and haven’t found anything that would be causing the pain. I thought I’d reach out to you on her behalf so she can figure out the issue and hopefully overcome it! Thanks! Sean 

Jennifer: Hi thereI have two questions. 1.  Is the Daily Protocol Powder appropriate for nursing mother's to take, even though the green powder contains spirulina? I am taking an IV of antibiotics during my delivery and would like to get back on a gut healing / vitamin rich protocol as soon as possible. 2.  I suspect that my mother-in-law may have candida overgrowth and she is interested in testing with Dr. Cabral. Is it better to set up a consultation and go through the 3-month program with Dr. C or a health coach than independently order the lab? I know that she will benefit from having a tailored program with 1:1 support, and think that applying for the consulting package is better. Thank you! Jennifer

Lorenzo: Hello Dr Cabral! I am 32 and have gone through many fitness transitions over the last 15 years from distance running to power lifting to couch potato then crossfit. I’ve been listening to you for over a year and have moved to your recommendations of a full body routine 2-3 times a week and have been feeling better than ever. I would like to start incorporating more explosive lifts, just because I enjoy them. How would you include kettlebell and barbell clean and jerks and snatches in your full body routine? 

Chris: Hey Doctor Cabral, my question is about adaptogens. About a week ago I started taking adapt, 2 with breakfast and 2 with dinner, to help with my healing from adrenal fatigue and balance cortisol levels. A week before that I finally was able to get really good sleep consistently, finally and be able to sleep the entire night without being woken. I figured adding hpa adapt to my regimen would give me that last kick to help calm my body. At first I felt really calmed down from it almost too calm, but it felt better than being too high energy. Cut to a week later and now my body although it doesn't feel anxious energy, it feels a lot of energy being so that I cannot fall asleep at all at night, no matter how much melatonin I take my body literally won't shut down. I'm curious as to why that is, I know that adaptogens are supposed to adapt to stress but going from too calm to too wired seems weird. I will also mention that I am a 26 year old pitta and I've tried taking a b complex prior but that makes me very jittery. Thanks! 

Valerie:  Hello Dr. Cabral! Really enjoy your Podcasts and I look forward to them everyday. I switched to a Whole Foods Plant Based (WFPBD) in early March and I feel amazing! I’ve read that a women should be getting about 48g of protein per day. I try and have three 1/2 cup servings of legumes a day. I wanted to add more throughout the day. My job doesn’t allow me to sit down and have a meal so, I bring my food in small mason jars. I usually try and have a main dish ( in a hot flask) and two different kinds of vegetables in my mason jars as well as fruit. I saw a Holistic Nutritionist and she said as a WFPBD is incomplete protein, I can have as much as I want. Today I listed to a YouTube video, by Dr McDougall and he said no more than a 1 cup serving a day, as to much protein leads to calcium loss, even if your on a WFPBD. Dr. Gregor says only 3 servings a day and he states that the incomplete protein statement is invalid, as there have been no concrete studies done to prove this. I find it confusing and a lot of conflicting information. What is your views on this? How much protein should you be getting, when on a WFPBD?

Mea:  Hi Dr Cabral, I have intermittent knee pain, but my DO cannot find anything structurally wrong with my knees. This is making me think it may be an inflammation issue. After 1.5 years of this, I am ready to cut the dairy, gluten, sugar, soy, corn out of my diet but if was wondering if you have any additional recommendations. I am 30, female, no history of injuries, and my work out routine has not changed. I eat mostly whole foods aside from milk in coffee (could coffee also be part of this?). Also still battling acne since my teens. Your podcast is wonderful, thank you so much for all that you do.

When it comes to exercise you essentially have 3 camps:

1. There are those people that love to exercise - it boost their spirits and they couldn't imagine living without it...

2. Then you have the people that exercise, but only because they need to to stay in shape, or because they know it's healthy for them...

3. And then there's the last group that has no interest in exercising even though they know (deep down ; ) it would help them transform their body and get healthy...

I consider it a great privilege to get asked to answer hundreds of questions a day and luckily I have an amazing team to help our community...
 
Also, having the ability to see what people care about the most allows me an endless stream of podcast and article topics...

And while I’ve created extremely precise diet plans like this for athletes, figure competitors, and celebrities, for the everyday living it’s simply not worth your time (or effort)...
