Although it's not very well known one of the main drivers for success is how you speak to yourself...

This refers to the non-verbal, as well as the words spoken out loud where you're either building yourself up or putting yourself down...

Most of the time we're completely unaware of this self-talk that is always taking place, but the truth is that until we get this sun-conscious speak to work for us we may be destined to never fully reach our potential...

Tune into today's #CabralConcept for the most dangerous phrase most people use that must be removed from your vocabulary (and your children's) - Enjoy the show!

Thank you for joining us for the 2nd day of our Cabral HouseCalls!

Here is today's community Q&A:

Shawn: Hi Dr Cabral, Can you recommend a protocol to heal a tear around the area of the anal sphincter. It was likely caused by poor diet choices and major constipation. I've cleaned up my diet (no wheat, dairy, etc), but the wound does reopen every few months or so.

Lisa: Hi Dr. Cabral, Loving your podcast and the time you put into it to help so many! I have a couple questions, what cookbook or resources (instagram, pinterest) does your wife use when cooking for the family? This would help me so much! My other question is, I have been on a vegan diet (80 percent raw) for 1 year hoping to heal my tongue problem. I know you have talked about this in the past and Im ordering your bacteria overgrowth supplements to see if this will help. If I do not eat ANY sugar (not even fruit sugar for the last 3 months) why cant I starve the bacteria and get rid of the white coating on my tongue? Thank you so much!!

Jen: Hi Dr. Cabral! I'm loving your podcast and slowly making my way through your older episodes while continuing to listen to your new ones. You always provide such good information! I recently listened to a podcast you did on food sensitivities. You were talking about common signs or symptoms a person can experience and I'm one of those people who has a headache response to certain foods. I can never figure out a connection between the foods though. Is it common to have sensitivities to foods which on the surface appear to have nothing in common? I'm already 100% dairy free, for about 5 years, 90% gluten free, for about 1 year, and about 75% egg free, also for about 1 year. So I think I've done a good job eliminating the top 3 contenders you mention often. I've noticed that I get a strong headache, nearing a migraine but not quite, when I eat onions (typically only happens with raw, but sometimes cooked), garlic (worse with raw and cooked, not too bad with garlic powder or garlic salt as a seasoning), and cilantro. Salsa and guacamole used to be favorites of mine, but are now off limits. To me, these three foods have nothing in common, aside from their common use in lots of Mexican dishes. I've found the headache effect happens both when these foods are combined and when they are solo ingredients in a dish. Anyhoo, I'm totally open to taking your food sensitivity test, and I'd be curious to see the results, but I didn't know if you could give me a little bit of insight before I ordered it. First, can a person have similar reactions to seemingly unrelated foods? Second, will the food sensitivity test pick up on these foods if I haven't eaten them recently? I steer clear as much as possible of onions, garlic and cilantro and do pretty well with avoiding them for weeks at a time. Also since I have no dairy and very little gluten or eggs, would those foods be detectable in the test or not? My husband thinks I'm crazy for blaming onions, garlic and cilantro on my headaches after eating Mexican food, and maybe I am, but I'd love to know once and for all if I really do have a sensitivity when it comes to those foods or if it is all 'made up' by me. Thanks for your help!

Megan: Hi Dr. Cabral, over the last year I have had an issue with multiple canker sores. I am in my late 30s, in a pretty good health state, average stress for a working mom, did your IGG food sensitivity test, take your daily multi and haven't changed my toothpaste etc Any suggestions? They hurt! Many thanks.

Anon: Hi Stephen, I appreciate your knowledge and the time you give to the world! My body fat has been yo-yoing since as long as I can remember (especially due to binge eating then watching what I eat and then falling off). I find that if I am extreme and avoid all my food sensitivities and sugar and carbs I am successful, but when I try to find balance with cheats I always go overboard. I want to lose body fat for good (especially around the abdomen, obliques, thighs and triceps) and learning to deal with the binge eating emotionally and hoping to have control with cheats eventually. I have been tempted to turn to cool sculpting because I hear that it actually helps you lose approx. 25% of fat cells by freezing them and that traditional methods only shrink your fat cells. At this time I am trying to fast to shrink my stomach and when eating, eating very nutrient-dense food. What is your opinion overall and do yo have any other advice? Thank you so much!

Anon: Hi Stephen, Thank you for giving back with this podcast - you are truly making a change in the world! I am confused because I have been meeting many health practitioners (nutritionists, naturopathic doctors, etc.) that are overweight (not obese, but body composition is not ideal - but seemingly eat well) and do not look like what I am led to believe is in optimal health although that is their business. I am wondering how much of how lean you are or how you look is a reflection of your health because similarly, I know many people who look healthy, but I know do not eat well and/or have health issues. I do not want to judge a book by it's cover and/or hurt anyone's feelings, but better understand this so I know how to perceive it... Can you please shed some light on this? Thank you so much for answering our questions!

I hope you enjoyed this weekend's community Q&A and all the tips added in along the way!

Welcome back!

Today we'll be starting Part 1 of this weekend's Cabral #HouseCalls where we answer our community's questions.

Here are today's questions:

Kerry: Please give me your thoughts on rice flour (looking for gluten free options) I was tempted to buy sprout brown rice flour but remembered that its recommended to have rice sparingly due to the natural arsenic in it. Is this something I should limit or use at all?

Anon: Hi Dr. Cabral, What is your take on fibroids? I performed a quick search for previous podcasts on this topic and didn't see anything come up. I was diagnosed with two 11-14 cm fibroids in October 2016, which were symptomatic (pelvic pain, heavy periods, discomfort from working out, etc.). After visiting my gynecologist, I was told that I would need to have an open myomectomy to have them removed, especially if I want to have children. I am a 35 year old African American women with no children, but plans to have children. Long story short, I opted to go the holistic route of shrinking the growths. I used Fibro Defense for uterine health, systemic enzymes, which I now take everyday, I increased my intake of raw green foods (I was born and raised as a vegetarian with a solid plant based diet) and wheatgrass shots. Since my symptoms seemed to be getting worse, and I want to plan to start having children with my fiance this year, I opted for a minimally invasive myomectomy. Turns out, I only had one 14 cm fibroid and one very small one that was not removed. Do you know what really causes fibroids? Are they estrogen dependent? I stopped taking my birth control in December 2016 and have continued to up my enzyme intake with plant foods and supplementation. My hope is that this second growth doesn't result in another surgery. Many thanks!

Fabienne: Dear Dr Cabral, my name is Fabienne and I am reaching out to you all the way from Luxembourg, Europe. I've been listening to your podcasts and I would like to thank you for all the work that you do. I genuinely appreciate all the information you put out there. I am currently doing a heath coaching program with IIN; I believe in the value of nutrition and would like to dig deeper into the area of holistic health and functional medicine. I do have a job at the moment so enrolling at a university abroad is not an option, therefore I would like to study with a distance learning program. My problem is that I find so many inspiring and seemingly meaningful schools and programs, that it's a bit overwhelming for me to choose one. Are there any schools or programs that you could recommend to someone who's just starting out in that field? I've found a curriculum that seems really interesting, it's with the "New Eden School of Clinical Natural Medicine" and it is called "Certified Naturopath in Functional Approaches (C.N.F.A) An impressive non-doctorate professional diploma program in Functional Naturopathy. A science based curriculum that combines Naturopathy and Functional Medicine. Requirements: High school education or GED" Would you say this is a good program? I am willing to learn, so it's not a question of workload, but rather one of: is this a good program? Or are there others I should look into? There are also quite a lot of German schools that offer online courses (and I remember you saying that you wish you had had the opportunity to do some training in Germany), maybe I should stick to one of those? I hope you can help me out, there is so much information out there that it is a bit exhaustive and I don't really know who to ask as most practitioners in Luxembourg have done their education in French, not English or German. Thanks again for everything. I understand if you do not wish to promote any schools in particular, so I won't hold it against you if you can't reply ;-)

Sandra: I have hashimoto' disease and have been told not to eat raw cruciferous vegetable. I also have a few nodules And a cyst , non malignant , on my thyroid so not to consume too much sugar including fruit. My question is- will green powder be ok to add to morning shake?

Isabelle: Hello! I have a question about Bacopa manner (or Brahmi). I was wondering if you have any experiences using this herb? Any possible side-effects? And would you recommend it for its alleged brain benefits? Thanks so much, from Isabelle

Thank you for tuning into today's Cabral HouseCall and be sure to come back tomorrow where we answer more of our community's questions!

In the very near future you'll hear more about the power of Functional Medicine Testing in the media...

Although it's been around for decades, unfortunately many people haven't been exposed to a resource that very well may be the catalyst that helps them achieve their wellness, weight loss, or anti-aging goals...

The reason I'm so passionate about this is that Functional Medicine lab testing is what helped me figure out the underlying root causes for why I was feeling sick even when the "best doctors" in the world couldn't tell me what was wrong with me...

You see, when you're only looking at your blood work you're never getting the full picture. This is why looking deeper into your gut health, adrenals, thyroid, hormones, and other systems of the body is so important...

So on today's #CabralConcept 488, I'm going to explain 3 popular Functional Medicine lab tests, what they are, what they test for, and why one of them may just be what you're looking for - Enjoy the show!

Some people are desperately seeking medical help trying to figure out what is wrong with them...

The problem is that they are looking to be told they have some name of a "disease" that they can then hang their hat on and finally feel like their pain and suffering is justified...

Although I've been through this myself and I truly understand this longing for an answer, the problem is that being diagnosed with a disease is one of the worst things that can happen to you...

The reason I say this is due to the fact that you will then be medicated and most likely given no alternative to ever coming off those drugs - You'll be sentenced to a life of "disease."

Tune into today's controversial #CabralConcept 487 for a look into this dilemma and how to overcome "the delusion of disease" while finding true long-term relief for your health issues - Enjoy the show!

Thank you for joining us for Day 2 of our weekend community Q&A!

We have 7 more excellent questions to answer and so let's get right into them!

Anon: Hi Dr. Cabral, Thanks so much for all the time you take to help educate all the listeners, you have made an amazing impact on my life. My questions are, I know I clearly have a fungal and possible candida overgrowth and have for several years but just was left with no answers as to why or how to fix them. I have had toe fungus for several years off and on and couldn't understand or get it to go away permenanty. I would on occasion get a good fresh nail to grow in on my big toe right foot and then a few months later find it sore and overcome again by fungus! Anyway, I know I need to do the Candida Protocol but I am currently nursing my 11 month old son. I would like to start this asap but I fear to do anything while I'm nursing, should I wait until I'm finished or would it be safe to start? My other question is, I do have saline breast implants and will be getting them out as soon as I can due to not liking the way they look the weight of them and also my overall health. I fear I will not like the way Iook after and am hesitant to get newer smaller ones placed back in. What is your take on these? And I know I will be placed on antibiotics after so where do i start with gut repair after the fact?

Anon: Hi Stephen First of all, thanks very much for all of your free podcasts. They are a wealth of information I don’t think is available anywhere else on the net and you are an inspiration to me and I’m sure many others. I am male, 44 years old, 12.10 stone (76.8kg) in weight and in reasonable health. Although I don’t get much exercise and work at a desk I’ve managed to drop a couple of stone over the last year by healthy eating. I have been suffering from male pattern baldness for about 16 years but the progression has been slow and I have been using Minoxidil for many years and Finasteride for the last 5 years. I have however, over the last year, had bouts of hair shedding that last for a month or two then it calms for a month or two before starting again. The shedding its self seems to be strongest around midday when I start to feel a tingling or itchiness on my scalp. It appears to only be on work days when I’m sitting at my desk, although it could be that I notice it more at this time. I do get regrowth between the shedding months but I’m keen to find out if this is just a natural progression of male pattern baldness or if there is anything I can do to slow or stop the cycle. Again, thanks very much for all your hard work.

Anon: Hi Dr. Cabral, What are your thoughts on botox injections? Are they dangerous? Are they worth it? What other natural things could you do instead of botox injections for wrinkles? Thanks for your help!

Jenett: Hi Dr Cabral I just recently started listening to your podcast about a month ago and love it! I get SO much information and you answer so many questions that I would ask myself, had I been in your office. I have been studying and researching all things Naturopathic for my family and myself. I have two questions and would so incredibly grateful for your advice. 1) I have battled estrogen dominance and adrenal fatigue for years which has caused weight gain, heart palpitations, fatigue and so many more symptoms. I was researching the blood type diet and pear shaped diet and a endomorph body type diet which all describe me to a T as far as telling me to avoid things like grains, which I have an intolerance to but Im still off. Is there a way for me to naturally balance my hormones without so many supplements? 2) My son is going to be 11 in July and he is at least a foot shorter then all his class mates and he only weighs 47lbs. Every time he has a new doctor see him, they want to run every blood test and stool sample but aside from a little low albumin, which they said nothing of concern about, they cant seem to figure out why he cant gain weight. He was 5Lb 13oz when he was born so he started out small but normal pregnancy and birth though they gave him a bottle in the hospital without asking me so he did have trouble with nursing and he cried all the time, which they told me was collic but in hindsight, leads me to believe he may have been hungry and malnourished. The thought devastates me as a mother that I neglected to see this. He is active, healthy, smart and an honor roll student so aside from his weight, there are no obvious issues but I am concerned about his weight. Do you have any insight as to what this might mean? Thank you so much for your time and whatever advice you can give. Love, love, love your show and will always be a fan!!

Chelsea: I'm interested in ordering your parasite protocol, but am wondering if it comes with additional instructions on how and when to take the supplements. Are there specific protocol directions that come with the order? Thank you!

Cindy: Hello Stephen Cabral, I love your podcast! Best ever and I have learned so much from you! Thanks a MILLION! I've been dealing with flu like symptoms and feeling super exhausted. Doctors can't seem to figure out what is wrong with me. So much blood work done and everything is "normal" Some say it's depression others have no clue?? What can I do to find answers. Plus I have 2 girls so I need my health back. Lol Any feed back would be much appreciated. God bless you for all you do for us! :) Thank you, Cindy L

Madison: What are the benefits vs. harmful effects of colloidal silver chelated using Fulvic Acid? I am using it primarily to treat chronic Epstein Barr Virus. I have read that it also reduces inflammation and heals leaky gut. As someone with chronic EBV and also interstitial cystitis, reducing chronic inflammation is a huge goal. However, I have been experiencing some major die-off symptoms (aches, muscle spasms and weakness, sleepiness, fatigue, nausea).

I hope you enjoyed this weekend's Q&A and all the tips added in along the way!

Jun 3, 2017

Welcome back to the Cabral HouseCall!

Today is day 1 of our community Q&A and I'm excited to be answering these specific questions:

Jen: Hi Dr. Cabral, Your weekend podcasts when you answer listener questions are quickly becoming some of my favorites. I'm learning answers to all sorts of questions I didn't even know I had! And I really like how you reference back to older podcasts for more information. Needless to say, I think your podcast is great! Do you have any suggestions for a natural way to cure razor burn/shave rash? I seem to perpetually get it around my bikini area and occasionally in two small spots in my armpits, same spot under each arm. I've tried using every type of shave lotion/gel I know to exist, from natural ones at my local health food stores, to the chemically ones found at the big box stores, without much luck. I read online that coconut oil can help (it's like a go-to cure-all for just about everything) but it didn't do anything for me other than make that area of my body greasy. Any ideas? Thanks! Jen

Jen & Salma: Varicose Veins & Hi Dr Cabral. Thank you for taking the time to read and help me with my question. I have a few dark veins, possible spider, slightly raised in my legs maybe a cm or 2 long. These have occurred following 2 pregnancies and I'd like to remove them - is lazer my only option?

Simone: Excluding HIV/AIDS, are there any natural cures for STIs and/or STDs? Specifically, chlamydia? Thanks for any insight with this!

Susanne: My husband has a CDL license and has to pass random drug tests. If he were to us the CDB oil would he pass the test?

Lisa: My question and concern is regarding the use of CBD oil for OCD in my 19 yr old son. He has had OCD for about 9 years and been on Prozac. With maturity he has gained more control with it and wants to get off of this prescription. He is not a marijuana user or illicit drug user of any kind and against it (at least for himself) as am I. I would hate for him to start using CBD oil to mask symptoms and slip into the belief that using a drug is okay which could lead to further usage. I would want him to learn how to manage his OCD and not cover up his symptoms. He had years of therapy but rejected it overall. My other question is other than CBD or in addition to, what types of treatment or testing would your practice do to help someone like him wean off of his medicine. My biggest regret as a mother is putting him on them in the first place. I wish I would have known about functional medicine 10 years ago. We did recently talk with his doctor about CBD and sent her your podcasts and information regarding it. She didn't agree or disagree but I hope she finds the info beneficial. Thank Dr, Cabral.

Nikki: Hi again :) I had written in a few months ago about an ear infection my daughter had. Four months later (she is 1 now) she has another one and are giving her the garlic drops as recommended and it seems to be working! However, today her fever came back. We've been giving her a few drops in each ear 3 times a day. I don't know what more we should do. I really want to avoid antibiotics and I fear she may be prone to ear infections. Her mood is fine, stool is normal, more sleepy, less hungry. A HUGE thanks for any insight on this and for all you do for this wellness community. Your knowledge is truly a gift to us.

Cassi: I'm currently doing the Candida protocol and just started phase 2. I have just recently noticed a slightly significant increase in my appetite and am wondering if you think this is related/unrelated/in my head...? Thank you!!

Thank you for tuning into today's Cabral HouseCall and be sure to come back tomorrow for Part 2 of our Q&A!

We've been told for decades that the way to become more flexible and prevent injuries is to stretch...

However, new data has repeatedly shown that stretching for the sake of stretching does not improve flexibility, nor does it prevent injuries...

It turns out, though, there is a specific way and time to stretch that does work and it can be done in as little as 30-90 seconds...

Transforming your body has so much more to do with how and what you eat, than just counting calories alone...

The reason for this is that not all foods are created equal and to make things more complicated some foods don't combine well together...

And, if those poor food combinations are eaten at the same meal it can cause bloating, toxic build up, weight gain, inflammation, and disease...

But of course, there is an easier way and on today's #CabralConcept 481 I'll share with you the ancient food combining principles in order to simplify your meals and shrink your stomach at the same time - Enjoy the show!

Your liver is "hands down" the most important organ in your body...

If it starts to weaken even just a little, every other organ has to work much harder and your blood begins to become a toxic cesspool leading to headaches, fatigue, skin issues, aging, and disease...

This is why it's so important to be working on strengthening your liver with whole foods on a daily basis...

A few weeks ago I shared many foods on how to detox your liver, and today on the #CabralConcept 480 I want to provide you with the top 9 (vegan) foods to fix, heal, and optimize your liver - Enjoy the show!

Thank you for joining us again on Part 2 of this weekend's Cabral #HouseCall!

We've got more amazing questions from our community and I'm looking forward to answering those right now on today's show:

Jim: I work in the nuclear power industry. I am subjected to random drug testing. Would CBD oil or any of your other supplements test positive? My livelihood has been very good to me and I would not want to loose my job over these supplements. I also have had great success with the ketogenic diet. I lost 60 Pounds and have kept it off for about 1.5 years. I am vertically pain free most of the time. When I work out or do physical work I recover very quickly..no pain. I was on medication for a slow thyroid for 10 years and I was able to stop. I do not count non- starchy vegetables against my carb ?limits. So I do eat 6-8 cups of salad/ cruciferous veggies almost daily. I going to try meatless Mondays. I stick with healthy fats . Avacado oils, Olive oils. Moderate protein. I look forward to listening to your show on my way to work each morning. I feel like you care about us even though we have never met. God bless you, Jim

Dave: CBD. I just ordered the trial size for my son who lives in CA. He suffers from anxiety. I live in Canada. I suffer from psoriatic arthritis which was triggered by colon cancer surgery in December 2015. Psoriasis is in my family. I have lost about 40% use of my legs. Getting out a chair, climbing stairs, golfing and snow skiing are difficult and sometimes impossible tasks. I am 68 years old. In your podcast you mention that CBD helps with psoriasis and arthritis. Do you think it would provide help for me? I am going to a PSA Clinic this Friday at Toronto Western Hospital for a second opinion. My Rheumatologist since February 2016 has me on a combination of Methotrexate and Otezla which, is working, but after 14 months, I am no where near able to tee it up again. Thank you

Lindsey: Hi Stephen, I randomly get the odd dark hair growing out from all different areas but they are v noticeable on my pale skin and my other body hair is blonde. Why would this happen? Thank you for being my no 1 podcast!

Ciara: Hi Dr. Stephen, I have a question related to some hair loss that I've been experiencing for about 2.5 years now. I'm a 35 year old female and I noticed a few years ago that my hair was thinning around my hairline and it's mainly occurring on the left side of my head. It's not consistent, as I've noticed that it's pretty stagnant right now. I thought that it may be related to stress, as there is no known instances of hair loss in my family; however, I have noticed that my mother's hairline on all sides has dramatic thinning (she's 59). She told me that it's probably from years of pulling her hair back. My hair is otherwise healthy (no shedding, breakage, etc.). I've been to two Dermatologists and have visited with an Endocrinologist, in which I was instructed to have the following test done with results: Lab Results to Date: TSH = < 0.02 (low) (from 2016) Free T4 = 1.35 Free T3 = 189 (high) FE (Iron) = 163 Ferritin = 34 (low) Vitamin D = 20.4 TSH = 0.5 (from 2012) Initially, it was thought that I may have an issue with my thyroid and I have requested to have a full panel of thyroid labs performed with no luck (e.g. thyroid antibodies, etc.). The Dermatologist instructed me to up my intake of iron for 3 months (325 mg of Ferrous Sulfate), as my Ferritin levels were low. The Endocrinologist instructed me to up my vitamin D intake (I now take 5000 IU daily; my levels are typically low in winter) and continue to monitor my TSH levels, which have been consistently low (zero was the result from my last 3 panels of blood work as it relates to this case; past results have been optimal). The Endocrinologist has also stated that it's not uncommon for TSH levels to be low (I am not OK with this response) and since my Free T4 and Free T3 levels are optimal, with no known symptoms other than hair loss (low energy levels, weight gain/loss, etc.), I've been instructed to continue to evaluate my levels every 3-6 months. As there has been no resolve, my Dermatologist has suggested a scalp biopsy as a last result. I'm not going through this process, as I would like to look into this a bit deeper. Do you have any insight and/or suggestions as to what I should do going forward? Is there any specific lab work that I should have performed? I would love to come into your facility; however, I'm unable to afford any services, as your facility does not accept health insurance. Very much looking forward to hearing back from you. All the best, Ciara

Anna: Hello! Love your show. Can you use CBD oil if you are breastfeeding? Baby is 7 months old. Also is using an infrared sauna ok for a breastfeeding mother? Thanks :) Anna

Aliana: I have recently been diagnosed with hsv1 and 2 and have been doing a lot of research on how to get rid of it. There are people out there that believe you can if you rid your body of excess heavy metals, have excellent nutrition and using pure oregano oil. Have you had any experience with this and do you believe it could work?

I hope you enjoyed this weekend's community Q & A's and be sure to tune in for tomorrow's Motivation & Mindset Monday!

Welcome back to this weekend's Cabral HouseCall where we'll be answering out community's questions over the next 48 hours!

Here is today's Q & A and it's a great one!

Lisa: Hi Dr. Cabral, thank you again for always answering my questions on your podcast! I have 2 questions.... Why does my 10 yr old daughter have the worst smelling urine? She is GF/DF/Egg free for 1 yr. Diet has helped so much with her Tourettes/OCD, but she has had this bad smelling urine since 2 yrs old. It is not dehydration, cuz she only drinks water all day long. My second question is, why does my daughter see spots of colors and ringing in her ears? This is causing anxiety in her when it happens. Thank you again for everything! -Lisa

Chris: Good morning doctor Cabral. My name is Chris a Fitness professional for the last 16 years. My question is about whether or not compression athletic apparel actually is beneficial in any way in regards to injury prevention, recovery etc... or is it all just marketing hype to sell the newest trend in fitness apparel. Thank you for taking my question. Love the podcast I find the information you share very benficial for both myself and my clients. Keep up the good work!

Taylor: Hi Dr. Cabral, Grateful for all your insight and having the option to submit questions! I am wondering a couple things about hair. My hair is very greasy. I typically have to shower daily because by 24 hours it is very greasy. My husband is also experiencing a lot of flakes in his scalp and hair. We have noticed it is happening on his eyebrows and some flakes and patchy dry spots on his face. Both are things I am curious if their is an underlying cause to that comes to your mind. Thank you! Taylor

Tammy: Hi Dr. Cabral, could you explain what is the root problem and how to heal Meniere's disease? Thank you so much for all you do!-Tammy

Anna: Hi Dr. Cabral, Thank you a million times for all of the good info you share. I am so grateful for the role you play in keeping my family healthy. I am constantly learning new things from you! I have several child related questions I would love your take on. If a 2 year old has food allergies and eczema I understand it could be candida and/or leaky gut, but how do we fix this assuming we can't just do the candida protocol and a 21 day detox? Can you outline a hypothetical program to help? If this question is too taboo for the podcast please feel free to email me instead. After much research I have recently concluded that vaccines are no longer in the best interest of our family. We have experienced too many side effects, but I am wondering what products and dosage (ex: 2 yo or 8 yo) you recommend for children to detox and see if these side effects can be lessened. Examples of side effects: food sensitivity, extreme moodiness, short attention span, prone to pneumonia (this one is scary!) Thanks again!

Kerry: I'm addicted to this podcast! Short and sweet, can you give me the low down on sprouted food i.e.:Ezekiel bread, sprouted pepitas etc. Worth it?

Meg: Hi there! I'm interested in learning more about testing / wellness consultations, but I'm not sure where to start or what test I should take. I have been feeling "off" since the beginning of the year. My symptoms are anxiety, IBS which makes it hard to eat enough, and recently an acne outbreak on my back, which has never happened. I've been meditating daily, and I eat a pretty healthy diet. Thank you!

Thank you for tuning into today's #CabralConcept and I look forward to answering more of our community questions tomorrow!

Every form of medicine believes it is the best and only form of health care to use in world...

Each one cites examples of how it has helped millions of people while excluding the virtues of all the others...

What I've learned from studying and interning in clinics and hospitals all over the world is that every form of medicine holds in it the power to heal - the problem is that you need to know which one to use and when...

In today's #CabralConcept 473 I explain "When to Use Naturopathic vs. Functional vs. Conventional Medicine" for best results - Enjoy the show!

It's great to have goals and it's great to want to achieve something that you've never done before, but there's a reason why most people (greater than 9 out of 10) never achieve their goals...

The reason for this is that they lack a certain system of moving them forward into their "goal achievement" state...

This goes beyond developing a plan and taking action. It's a prerequisite for anyone trying something new for the very first time...

On today's #CabralConcept 472 I share how to begin to develop a specific belief state in order to actualize your goals and transform them into reality - Enjoy the show!

Welcome back to the 2nd edition of this weekend's Cabral #HouseCall!

I'm looking forward to answering our community's questions and we have some amazing ones today, so let's get started!

Rebekah: Hi doc! Is it scientifically to proved that the soles of your feet can absorb particularly oils for medicinal benefits. Someone told me that if I rubbed cilantro essential oil on my soles I could get the detoxifying effects of the cilantro just by my feet absorbing it. Also, I'd love to know your opinion or vaccines if you don't already have a podcast of them. Thanks for all you do, you have a big heart!

Jennifer: Hello Doctor! If you have SIBO AND candida AND PARASITES what should you do first? Also, I heard you say no garlic for sibo but garlic is in all the intestinal parasite methods/supplements and it supposed to be great at killing them..... Lastly is it smart to take glutamine at night before bed daily as part of maintenance? I do feel gassy when I take garlic, but I will do anything to get rid of the parasites. Please advise/help thank you J

Shahna: Dr. Cabral, enjoying everything I hear and continue to be grateful for the information and passion you convey. So excited for your book. Two-parter question, if you are able and willing... 1) what is your opinion on magnets and negative ion bracelet such as ion loop. They also have a watch. Hype? Legit? 2) Could you please direct me to the show for help with Lyme's disease for my husband? I thought he was improving without a rash of antibiotic treatment, the typical treatment, but I am getting worried as he occasionally says he feels achiness radiate throughout his body, not centralized. Thank you for your energy and passion. Most sincerely, SHAH - nah

Tom: Hello Dr. Cabral I'm just following up with my question from instagram: Does CBD oil have any anti candida/bacterial overgrowth properties? Thanks!

Anon: Hi Stephen, Love your podcast and the amount of knowledge you have and share! I am a 27 year-old health-conscious Muslim female in Toronto, Canada and am going to be fasting for Ramadan starting May 26, 2017 (4:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. approximately - 16 hours) for a month for religious purposes (which are ultimately for optimal health and spiritual wellbeing). What do you recommend I eat during this time (and anything else you recommend) so that I have enough energy to last through the day at work, avoid brain fog and lose body fat without losing muscle mass? I am not sure if you are familiar, but I cannot eat or drink anything (including water) during the times stated so I want to fuel well during the times I can eat/drink and I am planning to workout (slowly lift weights/resistance train) 3 times a week during the day to retain muscle and get some exercise. Thank you in advance!

Ewa: Hello, our good friend got cirrhosis of the liver due to medication and alcohol. He have had almost all the known symptoms since last summer and just now going thro major back surgery, fusing last 5 discs they found out about his liver. Just heard your natural detox pod- thanks, what else do you recommend in this case? So appreciate your view on health and healing !! Thanks for everything you do! Ewa

Jen: Hi Dr. Cabral, Love, love, love your podcast!! Thank you for all the awesome information you share each day!! I've been interested in my own health and wellness for a while, although I fell 'offtrack' a bit while dealing with all the life changes and busyness associated with getting married and moving, but I'm now back to making my health (and my new husband's) a priority. One thing I've always wondered is how am I supposed to consume *all* of the healthy foods during the course of a day/week/month? If I regularly ate everything which has been found to be good for my health, I think I'd not only be eating all of the time, but I'd also get to be as big as a house! Ha! For instance, we all know certain nuts provide certain nutrients and health benefits, but we all also know nuts tend to be high in calories. I'm not a member of the 'all calories are the same' camp, but I do know that for me too many calories each week will make me gain weight over time, regardless of how much I workout. Even if we completely eliminate all grains from our diet (we try our best) eating avocados, nuts, lean grassfed meats, lots of veggies, leafy greens, flax and chia seeds, the list of healthy foods goes on and on, can become overwhelming on a daily/weekly basis. Do you have any suggestions for how best to prioritize quantity and frequency when it comes to healthy foods? Your recent podcast about how/when to take vitamins & supplements was very helpful. Perhaps you have a similar podcast related to foods? Thanks in advance for your guidance! Your willingness to share your knowledge is a blessing to many!

Thank you for joining this weekend's Q&A and I hope you enjoyed all the tips added in along the way!
