Sarah: Hi Dr. Cabral! I listened to your podcast regarding new evidence showing that RNA segments can be written back into DNA and influence its sequencing. I’ve heard some suggest concerns over the Covid 19 v delivery method, via mRNA, affecting one’s DNA. Thoughts? Thanks in advance! Learning so much from your podcasts!

Tim: Dr. Cabral, We appreciate your show and teachings. Regarding the current unmentionable virus, we have read that viruses can stay alive on different surfaces for varying amounts of time. My wife is a germaphobe/over-thinker, and to be cautious, we have either been wiping down everything that we bring into our house or letting it sit for a few days before using it. However, we have read that getting sick from surface contact is not as likely to happen as from airborne exposure. Would you recommend wiping/quarantining items, or is the risk simply too low to not make the effort worthwhile? I am hoping to stop and have her feel comfortable. Thank you!

Michaela: Hi, I love your podcast! Thank you for answering people's questions, its awesome. 2 years ago while pregnant with my second child I started getting greyish brownish spots on my torso, neck, and a few on my arms. The dermatologist diagnosed it as CARP, confluent and reticulated papillomatosis. There really isn't much information about this online. I won't take antibiotics for this, I am curious if you have any idea where this is stemming from (liver, kidneys?) and how to treat it from a functional medicine perspective. Could it be from magnesium overdose? I never took more than 400mg a day. I am a healthy 30 year old female, used to have insulin resistance but now eat a mostly paleo / low carb type of diet. (I am now pregnant with our third, and don't mind waiting until done nursing this next one to heal this if it wouldn't be safe now! I'm assuming it wouldn't be.)

Ryan: First, I would like to say thank you for all that you do for the community, I know you have helped thousands of people including myself become happier healthier beings. As far as questions, I have a couple of random rapid fire questions, when I do 24 hour fasts weekly or the beginning of the quarterly detox I notice my eyes get very dry until I eat, is this normal or am I missing something? I have been doing weekly 24 hour fasts and quarterly detoxes for a couple of years and it happens every time. During my 24 hour fasts I only consume water, usually with lemon or lime and salt and tea. Next, for using an IR sauna I know you suggest 40 minutes, would you or could you lower this time and maintain benefits if it was directly after a workout, either cardio or weight lifting since your internal temperature is already elevated? When I get into the sauna cold it takes 15 minutes to start sweating, if I go immediately following a workout I’m sweating the moment I step in, I’m just trying to optimize my time. Julie: Hey Dr C. I'm an IHP and am a little stumped with an issue one of my clients is having. She is 25 and just started month 2 of the CBO protocol after having completed the food sensitivity test, minerals & metals & OAT test. (She also did the 21-day detox). She’s feeling amazing with an incredible boost in energy levels, clearer skin & far less anxiety. She hasn’t felt this good in many years! We have a long way to go but it’s very positive. One of the things that hasn’t improved yet are the frequent bouts of really hot hands & feet which she has suffered with since she was a little girl. I’ve looked for this in your podcasts but can’t seem to find any info. Have you seen this before? So grateful for any ideas or help.

Mary: I've been hearing about Ketamine infusions for treatment resistant depression and PTSD. Do you have any thoughts on this or do you recommend this type of treatment? It was legalized in the US in 2019, I believe. Thanks for all your help today and always!

Simon: Hi Dr Cabral,I’ve listened to all your podcasts on fasting and detoxing and now do a daily 12-14hr fast and an (almost weekly) 1 day reset fast. I am curious though: as a Vata-Pita who is a bit too stressed and getting a bit less rest than I’d like to (though otherwise healthy), is a day’s fasting putting my body under more stress than I should be? Also, rather than getting the ‘mental clarity’ many speak of with fasting I tend to get brain fog and lethargy; aside from being inconvenient is this a concern and is there anything i can do to counter it without impacting the detox and autophagy benefits? Thirdly, I’d love to hear your thoughts on going lunch-to-lunch instead of dinner-to-dinner? I find skipping dinner easier and figure it means I’m not breaking my fast with a big meal close to bed and also benefit from a nights sleep on a very empty stomach. Thanks so much!

Simon: Hi again, I have a couple more questions about the 1 day reset: would taking a typical ‘liver detox’ supplement (milk thistle, dandelion, schisandra, etc) during the 1-day reset assist with liver detoxification? Also, is it ok to swap out some shakes with bone broth? Or even lemon/salt water if I’m not hungry? So many other questions but I’ll leave it at that! Thank you for giving so much time and energy to the community!

Lindsay: Hello. In today’s podcast (7/11) you mentioned if you have low blood pressure you are unlikely able to drink as much water as you need without salt. Can you elaborate on that? I have low blood pressure and have a hard time drinking water. Wondering if there is a correlation.

Meghan: Hi Dr C, I have been going back through previous shows and there seems to be a fair few that mention C Sections and after care with scar tissue and what not but I couldn’t seem to find any that look at how to prep the body before having a C Section to help support both the Mum and baby? Also did you have any tips/thoughts about exposing the baby with the mothers bacteria to try and help support the babies microbiome that it will be missing not coming through the vaginal bacteria and anything else that a Mum can do in preparation of a C section birth? Thanks so much.

Meghan: Hey Dr C, following on from my previous question about prepping for a C section. Is there anything in particular that I can do to reduce my chances of developing any post surgery blood clots? Thanks

Nick: Hi Dr. Cabral! Love the podcast. I'm writing to you seeking help for my wife. She has a long history of mental illness(schizophrenia, psychosis, catatonia). She spent 3 weeks at the phsyciatric hospital last winter. Spent 6 months in phychosis without any help from medications. She started working with a functional medicine doctor last summer that ran a stool test and she suspected a parasite. She prescribed alinia and put her on sbi protect immunoglobins and within a couple days started coming out of psychosis. Over the last few months she started having another setback after trying to stop the sbi protect immunoglobins. Started getting brain on fire feeling and alot of head fullness and and pressure. We ran the big 5 and confirmed she has some elevated candida, aluminum, and tpo antibodies close to 500. She is currently on the parasite protocol. and then the limited yeast and heavy metal detox. She is about to undergo a lumbar puncture to test for nmdr receptor encephalitis. It's been a slow long process and would really appreciate any more wisdom you could give us on this issue. I no longer consider body transformation the #1 reason to exercise...
 
Of course it’s great for boosting metabolism, burning calories, preserving or adding muscle, keeping bone density, improving mitochondrial function, metabolizing glucose, and so much more...
 
However, there is actually really solid research showing exercise’s effect on immunity (pros and cons)...
