Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!
I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…
Let’s get started!
Kristen: Hi there - I LOVE your content, you’re doing great things. I am a female in my late 20s and have had hormone issues for awhile. I got tested and have high estriol and low progesterone (estrogen dominance), but also have a huge cortisol spike in the morning (above normal). I am looking to lose weight and love to workout out in the morning first thing (fasted) but was wondering if you recommend eating something. If yes, what would you recommend given I’m looking to lose weight? Honey, a piece of fruit, celery juice? Any other suggestions? Thank you so much!
Ann: Aloha, I am writing in regards to my 75 year old father. He has an over production of red blood cells, he’s taking Jakafi for his blood. He has restless leg, and his psi count wAs high but after taking the medication (Jakafi) his count has gone down. Thank you for your time! Sent from the heart, Ann
Anonymous: I experience facial blushing in social situations where I feel uncomfortable or when the attention is on me and then knowing my face is turning red makes it even worse because then I worry that people are going to notice it and/or say something. It's a bad cycle. I know it's a fight or flight response that's happening but my question is what can I do about it as a long term fix, and also is there anything I can do in that moment when I feel it coming on, to send a signal to my body that it's safe and doesn't need to be in flight or fight?
Alexandro: Doctor Cabral,I’m a 46 year old male. I suffer from what I believe to be chronic issues, from prostatitis, to an immune system one. I’ve recently changed my diet to an 85% or so fruits and vegetables. Symptoms are: the typical prostatitis symptoms, extreme body aches when dealing with a virus infection, constant fatigue, seasonal allergies, post nasal drip, chronic back pain (herniated discs). I’m interested in consulting with you to try to recover my happiness back. I must add that most of these issues have accompanied me since I was a teenager.
John: Hi Dr. Cabral - I believe you mentioned before that for stubborn cases on the CBO protocol, you may use Citricidal drops and/or GI Balance. Can I include these during the CBO protocol to further maximize the impact of the CBO protocol, or is there harm in including these without knowing if they're truly needed? I am planning to use Citricidal drops during month 1 and GI balance during month 2 along with the normal CBO supplements. If I use GI balance in month 2, do I need to take it with a different meal than when I'm taking L. Acidophilus? Thank you for your time.
John: Hi Dr. Cabral - If I’d like to do a DNS/fruit smoothie along with oatmeal for breakfast, is it better to consume the DNS/fruit smoothie first since it has fruits, or should I have oatmeal first? And when my digestion gets better, do you think it’s okay to put the DNS powder and fruits into my oatmeal since they’re all somewhat “mushy” / blended foods? Thank you for your time.
Thank you for tuning into this weekend’s Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right!

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!
This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!
Check out today's questions:
Victor: Would you recommend an under desk treadmill? I spend so many hours sitting down because of work and was thinking setting out my office in a way that I could walk in the treadmill while working. And no, this is not a replacement to my workouts or outdoor walking. It’s just that sometimes I find it hard to get my 10k steps daily. I feel like I get a lot in the morning (walk to the gym and back) but that’s around 7k steps. Then sometimes I don’t have time to leave the house for another walk because I’m super busy with work... hence was thinking the under desk treadmill!
Thomas: Hey Dr. Cabral, thank you for the endless wisdom and the many years you’ve added onto my life. I wanted to ask you about broccoli sprouts. I know they are full of sulforafane, so I grow my own in a jar, and put a dense handful into my morning smoothies. Do you grow and/ or use them? Sometimes they smell pungent so it’s hard to tell if it’s the beneficial sulforafane or something bad like mold. I try to err on the safe side so wanted to see what your pros/cons would be. Thanks!
Katie: Hi Dr. Cabral! I'm wondering your advice for someone who has done gut healing but still experiences allergy symptoms. I've worked with your team for about 3 years now and have done CBO once + a second short round, 2 mold protocols (and testing for mold in house - none), a heavy metal detox, rebalanced hormones + cortisol levels, and supplements to adjust other imbalances that came up, plus took out food sensitivities. I ran the big 5 again a year ago and things were much improved, so I know it's working to some extent. I no longer experience hay fever symptoms like Post nasal drip, itchy eyes, runny nose, etc. However I do still experience asthma/allergy symptoms in the form of sinus headaches/migraines, and breathing troubles. The breathing troubles are not just standard asthma attacks, but what I can best describe as "sniffing for air" - a sensation I'm not getting enough air in (easily) through the nose, so it's as if I gasp for air through the nostrils. Often my throat & tongue muscles feel tense as well. I'm currently on Cingular and Xyzal, plus HistPro and other allergies teas & tinctures, but can't seem to totally kick my allergies. What recommend next steps would you take if you were in my shoes?
Katie: Hi Dr. Cabral! Wondering if you can provide an explanation for feeling a watery mouth/ slightly nauseous sensation during late nights or early mornings. I notice if I stay up late (no alcohol), or wake up early (before 7am sometimes!), I get this uncomfortable feeling paired with fatigue. Eating seems to help it so I wonder if it's related to blood sugar? So curious your thoughts! Thanks for your help always :)
Erica: Hey Cabral! I'm not sure if you have answered this question before.. I couldn't find it online.. but I was wondering what your daily eating + supplement routine looks like. What times you eat breakfast, lunch, dinner.. possibly a juice.. what your go to eating routine looks like.. i..e breakfast = smoothie + oatmeal, lunch = vegetables + lean protein.. foods you eat most commonly, etc. of course I know everyone's body is different.. and reacts / responds to things differently.. but it would be cool if you maybe made an episode on this ! Thanks!
Kelsey: Any tips for living with thalassemia minor? Are there any gut connections?
Thank you for tuning into today's Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community’s questions!

Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!
I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…
Let’s get started!
Suayda: Hi, Dr. Cabral appreciate all you do. I’ll try to make this concise. I experienced tubulointerstitial nephritis with uveitis in January 2021. My kidneys failed suddenly. The prognosis is good in that my renal function will return. I went from 15% function to 42% currently. However, the rate of improvement has started to slow down recently. I have been more active, eating much better and also using herbs/supplements. My questions are: - could this be caused by toxicity of some kind? Ie mold, heavy metals or parasites? Maybe all the above? My apartment here and the UK in general has a lot of mold. My furniture is also older and most likely has lots of VOCs. I feel like my environment is making me sick and preventing healing. - Are any of the following herbs harmful? I’ve tried to research abundantly and have felt improvement with the following either daily or a few times a week: chanca piedra, he shou wu, dandelion extract, ginko biloba extract - Same question for these supplements: phosphatydil choline, ashwagandha (for my adrenals), magnesium, vitamin d (last test showed I’m at 69) - Lastly, is there anything else I can do to restore and strengthen my kidneys and prevent this from happening again.
Kristina: Hi Dr.Cabral, I have a question about chronic yeast infections and candida. After doing lots of research I think I have candida overgrowth - as well as getting thrush (x1 a month) I also have fatigue, brain fog, spots on face and sometimes a little on neck and chest. Other symptoms are toe fungus and also my hair has been shredding. It has been so frustrating as the medical doctors have no answers for me! I have listened to your previous podcasts on candida and thrush and I know you mention Boric acid. I was wondering if the Candida and Bacterial Optimizer Protocol is what I should get? Should I use the Boric Acid as well alongside the protocol or will the protocol tackle it all at the same time and help me get rid of candida for good? Thank you so much!! I really appreciate all your advice.
Tina: Hi Dr. Cabral, Thanks so much for everything that you do! I was wondering if you can advise on the best foods, supplements or herbs to take to prevent muscle pain after exercise and to optimise results. My partner always gets sore muscles and I was wondering if there is anything he can to prevent that. I heard magnesium is beneficial but any advice would be much appreciated. Best things to consume before and after exercise? Thank you!
John: Hi Dr. Cabral - I have an issue with zinc supplementation. Zinc gives me abdominal cramping and mild diarrhea. I've experienced it across multiple brands and multiple forms of zinc, including the zinc in Healthy Gut Support. I am going to start the CBO protocol soon, and I noticed month three has a notable amount of zinc in the Healthy Belly supplement, and I'm concerned I won't be able to take it. Even when I take zinc with a meal, I notice the symptoms to some degree, so I avoid supplements with zinc all together. Do you have a recommendation on how I can accommodate Healthy Belly in the CBO protocol and Healthy Gut Support later on? Also, can you please share why you think I may have such a strong reaction to supplements that contain zinc? I saw an article tying it stomach acid issues which I believe I have. I tried HCL, but it causes abdominal pain and burning. Also, citrus foods give me acid reflux. Do these issues and my inability to tolerate zinc have anything in common? Thanks for your time, and the products you've created. They've improved my health, and I'll be a customer for life.
Lorena: Hey Doc! What are your thoughts on Zeolite? I’ve been hearing incredible things about it!
Melissa: We have a Berkey water filtration system and my son brings gallon glass bottle to fill for his apartment. I recently saw Berkey sells Biofilm drops which are formulated to store and maintain water for up to five years. I was curious if you had any thoughts about using this to store water? They also claim the drops extend the time-frame between cleanings when added to the upper chamber. I am still working through your Podcasts (have for several years) and love learning from you! I could not find a Podcast about the Berkey Biofilm drops and asked in the support group on Facebook with no luck! Thank you for all you do and all your inspiration.

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!
This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!
Check out today's questions:
Jen: Hi Dr. C! Do you have any knowledge or history working with patients with Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia (ARVD)? I'm wondering if you have any advice on natural ways to support the body. Thank you for all you do!
Karen: Hi there Dr. Cabral and thank you for all you do! I have listened to your previous podcast on PEMF mats and appreciated the information. I don't fully understand how PEMF works but recently read that 10-15 gauss is required to stimulate adenosine receptors to reduce inflammation. The Healthy Line website for the PEMF mat you recommend states that their PEMF operates at 7.8 hertz but makes no mention of gauss. Can you explain the difference and help me to better understand what I should be looking for in a PEMF mat? Thanks a ton!
Kathy: Dear Dr. Cabral, I've run the big 5 labs and done all the protocols with Equilife to address my imbalances, so I feel really great thanks to you! I have a recent concern I cannot solve. I've danced flamenco for a couple years now and we always do intense footwork, but only recently I find that all my leg muscles feel extremely weak after only 5 minutes of work, to the point where I'm in significant pain - it's like I have no muscle strength or energy in them - and the next day I'm super sore. Up until a few months ago, I never had this weakness, pain or soreness. I do the foundational protocol level 3, and also take the cal-mag 2 - 4 caps per day (based on my HTMA results). I've tried adding creatine but with no change. Can you point me toward what can be causing this? Is it possibly a mitochondrial issue or perhaps metabolic? Thank you and I appreciate you so much! -Kathy
Pip: Hi Dr Cabral, Would love your thoughts on my questions about Multiple Sclerosis. I’ve had a search on your podcasts page but didn’t find exactly what I was after. I know that you believe that all (well most!) diseases can be prevented, so what would you say to someone who was showing multiple symptoms of MS but hadn’t been formally diagnosed yet, but the possibility of it had been mentioned. There’s obviously no cure for MS so what would you suggest if this was one of your family members in this situation? Thanks so much, I appreciate your thoughts!
Maria: Forever grateful for your knowledge ! I recently heard that baking potato (starchy foods) causes the formation of a harmful substance‘ acrylamide’, which can be carcinogenic. Apparently it is from the chemical reaction of certain sugars and the amino acid asparagine from high temp cooking. Furthermore, if you eat Baked potato it is recommended to not eat the skin, or just better to steam or boil. I’ve never heard of this before so was wondering of if you have ! Thank you
Sarah: Hi Dr Cabral, Thanks so much for providing us all with such great information. I constantly recommend your podcast, You are a superstar! I have bradycardia. My Heart rate is consistently around 55... and drops below 50 during sleep. I’m awaiting my thyroid panel blood results. I am certain that I am hypothyroid, my TSH was 3.65 and I’ve just convinced my doc to run further tests. I have had mixed information about iodine, I have listened to podcasts suggesting supplementing with iodine but after reading Dr Christiansons book ‘the thyroid reset’, he explains that there is too much iodine in the diet.. and I do feel less fatigued after reducing it. I just wondered what your thoughts were on this and also is there anything I can do to bring my heart rate up to a normal range? Thanks so much, Sarah x

Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!
I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…
Let’s get started!
Kimberly: Hi Dr Cabral. I am a devoted listener and your protocols and FM detoxes have improved my quality of life so much. My question is, I took the J & J vaccine. My reactions were normal ( fever, chills, nausea, headache, etc). I did experience severe headaches a few weeks after receiving the jab, so my PCP referred me to ER to get CT, contrast MRI to rule out blood clots. I was fortunate not have the rare blood clot, but the MRI showed that I have an Olfactory Groove Meningioma. I never had headaches before, and I had an MRI a few years earlier to rule out pituitary tumor as a cause of my low thyroid. I have 2 questions: 1. Is it possible my immune response to the vaccine triggered the tumor to push against my nerves causing these severe headaches? 2. Would something like florafilm help keep this tumor from growing. I know I have to defer to my neurologist and her team but curious of any natural treatments for this type of brain tumor.
Carmen: Hello Dr.Cabral, After a visit to the ER due to severe dehydration from a stomach flu, I was sent home with the CT results of my pancreas classified as normal. After getting home and reading the findings of the CT, the statement "extensive fatty replacement of the pancreatic parenchyma", left me a little worried. It does not sound " normal". I am 42 years old, 5'6, 130 lb, I eat fairly healthy, don't smoke or drink, but do have high cholesterol (350 total). Any thoughts? Thank you for all you do, it truly makes a difference in my everyday life
Joy: Hello Dr Cabral, my question is related to the heavy metal detox supplements. It was recommended by my HC that I do the heavy metal detox based on results of the minerals and metals test. I noticed the Florafilm (in the protocol) has an ingredient from egg whites (lysozyme). When I did your food sensitivity test it showed a sensitivity to eggs. Should I avoid the Florafilm supplement because of my egg sensitivity? On a side note, if I click on just the Florafilm supplement in equi.life, that’s not included with the protocol, it lists different ingredients including no lysozyme. That confused me. Are there 2 Florafilm supplements? Thank you!
Maria: Thank you for your time! My question is, i have eliminated eggs for over 6 months due to having a severe iGg reaction on my food sensitivity test. However, I had not continued with the CBO protocol due to being underweight and my health coach believed it is more important to get my body to a healthy stage as long as my digestion is okay. As I had not done the CBO protocol, I was wondering if I am able to introduce eggs to my diet as my immune system has had a long time without being exposed to the egg protein, or would it still be best to avoid eggs? This also includes a few other foods like chia seeds and cows dairy.
Nicolette: Hi Dr. Stephen, first off, THANK YOU. I have gone through all your Thyroid podcasts, and feel I have a pretty strong understanding on how to heal my Hashimotos. I still work with an endocrinologist as I have been on Synthroid for 15 years. (I am 27). I started on it at a very young age. I am on an extremely high dose and have been really working to heal myself with multiple of your test, and protocols (metals and CBO). I stick to a very clean diet, workout regularly, and have really reduced my stress levels. I told my endocrinologist that since my numbers (T4, T3, TPO, reverse t3) are looking good, I would really like to start to decrease my dosage of synthroid to begin to get off of it. He said since I am still not feeling me best (weight gain, alway puffy, wake up groggy, cold hands/feet) that my body needed a change so he lowered my synthroid, but added Liothyronine. He said if I do well on this and continue to, we can work to move off them? 2 questions, being on these two medication I’m not suppose to have calcium and iron until 4 hours after. That really effects my morning smoothie with your supplements since some of them contain those. What are your thoughts on those two medications being used together and when should I consume my morning smoothie? THANK YOU!
Maria: Hi Dr Cabral, forever appreciative for your knowledge! I have a quick question, I understand that heating oils is not a good idea due to oxidation, however I just read in the book I’m currently reading, that each time an oil is reheated, it breaks down and it’s chemical structure becomes more destabilised. I am unsure if that just includes oils used for deep frying, or also oils such as avocado oil when reheating leftovers? Thank you!

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!
This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!
Check out today's questions:
Jamie: First and foremost, a thousand thank yous and it still wouldn't be enough for you and of course your team. After having COVID quite mildly it does seem that i have some symptoms that are taking a bit longer to get over and i would love to understand what is going on a little better if possible. So it is to do with energy levels. I would jump on the peloton beforehand and then walk to work feeling energised. Nowadays if i do that i will feel tired by 2pm and when i use a lot of energy i will get a small fuzziness in my head and light burning in my nose. What is causing this and what might one do through functional medicine, supplements diet etc... to help maybe address this and restore the energy levels to the previous position? Thank you again as i couldn't see a specific answer in your podcasts addressing this and i followed your immunity protocol as soon as i tested positive and for a while afters (even had a call with Julia but was too early to ask her the above!). Again i cannot express how grateful i am for all you have studied and all you have done to make functional medicine mainstream again and accessible to all. It has changed my life for sure and i really enjoy being able to pay little bits forward whenever i can. Keep well.
Isabelle: Hello doctor Cabral, I love your podcast, especially the weekend edition! I was wondering if you could maybe help me out with the following: I do 16:8 IF every day. My last meal is around 4 or 5pm and during my fasting window I only drink water. My sleep has not been great, therefore I want to start using magnesium and other supplements before bed. However, the purpose of my fast is to get as much authopaghy as possible, so I don't want to get too many calories in or increase my blood glucose or any other hormones. Do you think that magnesium would interfere with my fast? And what other supplements do not affect the clean, water fast? Thank you for answering our questions, you ar amazing! Isabelle
Denise: Hi dr Cabral, I hope you are well and healthy! I think you're probably the only person that could clear this up for me, so here's my issue: they say that prolonged fasting stresses out the body and can lead to hormone imbalance - especially when it comes to women. I'm a 43 year old woman and I love fasting. When I do a long, 24-hour fast my HRV goes up, deep sleep doubles, hart rate and tepmerature goes down and I reach the best recovery score on my Oura ring - much better than when I eat regularly. But I am afraid that it will mess up my hormones. So can I trust that if my recovery index is okay, my hormones will be okay too and not go haywire? Or are these totally different systems that don't influence eachother? I can't wait to hear what your thoughts are on this. Thanks a million for this, and everything else you've done for our community! You're THE BEST! Denise
Eliana: I am 24 years old and very healthy, eating a diet of whole foods and exercising often. I frequently have achey, sometimes sharp, muscular pain in my upper back and neck. It’s definitely worse with stress and I have wondered if it’s worse on the days I drink coffee. My chiropractor said exercise (I strength train a lot) and caffeine both make the body more acidic which could lead to this pain. Could you shed some light on this and how to lessen the pain? I do drink less caffeine now and many days I have chai instead of coffee... however, I still experience the pain most days.
Janice: Hi Stephen, I have listened to your podcasts for quite a while now, thank you for what you do. My question is, if my employer makes covid vaccines mandatory, would I be able to get a note from your office excusing me from the vaccine? I am 62, in good health, love my job and I don't want to lose it, but I will not get the vaccine. I have been working from home since March 2020, I do not come in physical contact with others. Things could change and they could order us back into the office, and that is my concern. Thank you for your time.
Rebecca: Hi Dr Cabral, I’m 11 months post partum and my hair is starting to get very, very dry to the point it’s snapping off all around the front and is constantly frizzy and matted, I’ve never seen it like this before. I’m still breastfeeding, so I know I can’t do many protocols in terms of detox but just wondering what you would recommend to help with this in the mean time? Also noticed my babies hair is doing the same thing? I’m guessing it’s some form of malabsorption of proper nutrients/vitamins etc thyroid or stress? Also just for a bit of background I did an OAT 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant and it came back with high clostridia (not diff), two mold markers, quino acid high and lactic acid etc just to give you a rough idea of the pattern. Tanks for your time, Bec :)

Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!
I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…
Let’s get started!
Ellen: I have been told but a few naturopaths that my DHEA is high, ranging from low 200’s to 390. I am a 60 yo post menopausal women who experiences fatigue, lack of energy and regular insomnia. My primary Dr doesn’t seemed concerned provides little direction. Can you shed light on DHEA’s importance and how to lower? My cortisol is also high. I d not feel stressed.
Karen: Hello Dr. Cabral and thank you in advance for helping me with this problem! I'm a 48 year-old, healthy woman who has experienced flushing, brain fog, and profuse sweating on my eyelids and under my eyes whenever I consume garlic. Sometimes, even the smell of garlic can cause the onset of these symptoms. Unfortunately, this sensitivity has become much worse as I have gotten older. These symptoms will last for several hours and are quite uncomfortable but can be lessened slightly by drinking large quantities of water and/or by chewing mint gum. It certainly makes sense to me that this is an allicin sensitivity, but my symptoms seem so odd in comparison to other food sensitivity based symptoms. Do you have any insight into what might be going on and/or if there is anything additional I can do to offset the symptoms if I happen to accidentally ingest garlic? I am in the habit of asking restaurant staff if certain dishes contain garlic, but oftentimes they either do not know or incorrectly state that there is no garlic in the recipe (and sometimes there is not enough garlic in a recipe for my taste buds to detect it but there is still enough for my body to respond negatively). Thank you!!!
Sarah: I understand the benefits of infrared sauna multiple times a week. Right now I’m only able to go once a week. However, I do workout 5x a week, a mix of strength & hiit, and sweat a lot. So my question is, does sweating during cardio provide the same benefit as the detoxification benefits of the sauna?
Ana: Hey Doc! I'm a certified L1 & L2 IHP and I love it so much. I always go back to the materials and I feel like I will be doing so forever. There is so much content! My question is: One of my client's saliva hormonal test came back with lower than normal cortisol at the four different times in the day but quite high DHEA.Some estrogen dominance too but testosterone was ok. I'm usually used to high DHEA when cortisol is high but not high DHEA when cortisol is low. Is this common? Why would this happen?
Roberta: I have hashimoto, I keep reading, should not take ashwagandha if you have hashimoto. Is this true? Thank you Roberta 56 with terrible hot flashes due to post menopause, brainfog, anxiety and panic attacks. Thank you

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!
This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!
Check out today's questions:
Karen: Hi there Dr. Cabral and thank you for being the one resource I trust for non-biased answers to my health-related questions. I am a fair-skinned, healthy, 48 year-old woman. Recent gene testing shows that I might be prone to Vitamin D deficiencies and historically, I struggle to keep my 25-OH Vitamin D levels above 20 ng/mL in the wintertime and 40 ng/mL in the summertime unless I am supplementing with vitamin D3. I prefer to get D3 from the sun when weather permits but am very torn between the positives of sun exposure and the negatives of skin damage, and it seems as if health practitioners have wildly conflicting opinions. Currently, I use the app 'D Minder' to tell me when I can get vitamin D from the sun (based on my geographical location and the time of year) and I lay out in the sun in a two-piece swimsuit for a total of 20-30 minutes on those days (usually 3-5 days a week). Am I risking unnecessary sun damage with this approach and is there anything I can do to offset the damage such as red-light therapy, serums containing sea buckthorn and other healthy oils, eating a healthy whole-foods diet, or even the use of Fernblock (Polypodium - fern leaf extract) which I am considering taking prior to sun exposure? Very much looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Maria: I have read lots to do with the importance of avoiding rancid/oxidised oils, however was wondering if this is also the case with spices. Would there be any harm (despite loss in flavour and potency) in consuming stale spices? Such as many cardamom pod seeds I have found are more of a tan brown colour than black. Just wondering if It’s better to throw them or fine to use them. Thank you so much for your help!
Chelsea: Hello Dr Cabral, This question is regarding cumulative radiation exposure and is there any way to mitigate it. In the last 17 years I have had 7 CAT scans. Two of the head (sinus issues) and five of the abdominal (kidney stones) area. It’s been seven years since my last CAT scan. In the past two years I have had five xrays of my hips, two xrays of my chest and one of my shoulder. Most recent X-ray was March 2021. I am scheduled for a mammogram in May 2021. The breast center will not provide ultrasound if mammogram is not done (I did do thermography and need further evaluation). Mouth X-rays at dentist as well in Feb 2021. I’m 44 and terrified at of all the cumulative damage that this radiation may have/has done to my body and want to know...is there anything I can do about it? Thank you for all that you do, all that you share and the empathy you resonate. With gratitude, faithful listener since May 2016, Chelsea
Gordon: Hello Dr Cabral, appreciate all you do! I have suffered from lower abdominal discomfort on and off since my time in the Vietnam War. I was treated for an intestinal infection. The acute pain went away. Years later I had surgery for an inguinal hernia. The pain (cramping, tenderness, some bloating and gas) came back, and continues on a regular basis now, affecting my sleep. Many drs thought these symptoms were related to the surgery - adhesions or possible that it affected the nerves. I was put on Gabapentin which did not help. Any thoughts on relation to the hernia or am I still experiencing issues related to the intestinal infection I had so many years ago? Thanks!
Darren: Good day to you Dr Cabral and your family. I checked the search bar before asking this question but maybe I did a poor job in doing so. If possible, can you briefly touch on or probably consider doing a future show on the best time to take different supplements, vitamins and minerals so as to avoid any conflict, adverse interaction and optimal absorption possible. For instance, I understand Vitamin A can decrease Vitamin D intake. Also, if that's the case, won't the minerals and vitamins in multivitamins inhibit each other? As always, keep up great work
Lara: Hi, dr. Cabral :) I have a question about the avocado seed (pit) powder as a supplement. It’s supposed to strengthen the immune system and supposedly it’s also anti inflammatory and a powerful antioxidant.. I’ve got a recommendation for it for fibromyalgia but I don’t trust anything until I check in with you first haha..
Thank you for tuning into today's Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community’s questions!
