Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!

This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!

Check out today's questions:

Priya: Please I want to eat cupcakes. Can we have desserts on our cheat meals for the CBo 3 month plan?

Darren: Hey Dr. Cabral. Is there any truth to the theory that sunglasses are harmful because they tell your eyes you're 'not in the sun' - but your skin IS - preventing your body from protecting itself? Some are saying it's best avoid because they also disrupt circadian rhythm and enrich unscrupulous companies. In your experience, do you have any thoughts on this? Thank you for all you do

Blake: First off, your work in the functional medicine realm is so impressive. With all the research and knowledge you present to us, the passion is truly contagious. I'm in my mid 30s and since beginning of high school, I've had more noticeable vessels in my eyes. The insecurities that came with it have been with me for that time as well. I don't leave the house without putting drops in my eyes because I can't handle someome thinking I'm on drugs. In my 20s I went to all the doctors and specialists of traditional medicine to have them tell me it's dry eyes. I don't have allergies and I've done many diets to see how that would affect them. I just live my life now as it's just who I am. Is there something I'm missing that can improve my red eyes? And am I doing any long term damage by using drops every day? Thank you for all that you do. Kind regards.

Kristin: Hi Dr. cabral! I completed the stress and metabolism labs and my cortisol came back high and my DHEA came back on the low end, 3.5 (2-23 are the normal range as you know). While it wasn't recommended that I take DHEA by my health coach, I feel as though I have all of the major symptoms especially low libido, difficulty losing weight, and brain fog. I'm 28yo and on Loloestrin birth control which affects hormones. Is it safe to supplement with the Equilife DHEA? If so, how long should I do so for?

Senna: Hi doctor Cabral! I would love it if you could do a full show on different kinds of belly fat (hormonal belly, stress belly, etc) and the best ways to get rid of it. Thanks so much in advance! Senna

Jen: I am a Vata body type that struggles with hypoglycemia. I have belly fat around my belly button that I can never seem to get rid of. I am starting to suspect that the constant ups and downs of my blood sugar are putting stress on my body and causing the accumulation of this fat. I've heard you say that for hypoglycemia, one can take a tablespoon of honey upon waking. Do you think this would help cut the cortisol in the morning and help with the fat accumulation problem? Trying to brainstorm how to solve this.

Thank you for tuning into today's Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community’s questions!
