Ales: Hello Dr.Cabral, I have lot of trust in your discretion, and thus I have two questions I hope you can answer. 1. Lately I have been reading about deuterium depleted water and its benefits on our mitochondria. Is there any valid evidence on deuterium depleted water? 2. Speaking about mitochondria what's your take on eating only local, seasonal food, which logically is the way to go, and all cultures in past always ate this way. My question here is whether eating non-seasonal food affect mitochondrial health due to the energy (electrons) that is stored within all plant foods. Since all organisms react to circadian rhythms and seasonal changes, isn't it confusing and metabolically deranging for our bodies to consume let's say fruits in mid of a winter? If food is information for our mitochondria, then we should really avoid non-seasonal foods altogether. Please help me understand whether the body would prefer (which is very logical to me) to get nutrients & energy only from foods that it expects during cold months (maybe some root crops, but not fruits), while expecting and processing much differently fruits during summer months? Thank you
Simon: Hi Dr Cabral, I am having open surgery soon for an inguinal hernia. I know you've recommended a couple of times before to use the Daily Foundational Protocol (minus Omega 3) leading up to and after surgery and the Healthy Gut Support and Clean Gut Probiotic afterwards to improve health and reduce the impacts of antibiotics. If I wanted to 'go the extra mile' to promote wound healing; recover from a general anesthetic; and reduce the impact of antibiotics, is there anything else you would recommend? Would collagen assist with wound healing? How long should I wait before taking anti-inflammatory foods/supplements (knowing that many thin the blood)? Thanks!
Simon: Hi again - another quick question regarding inguinal hernia surgery: my surgeon is adamant that a mesh is the best surgical approach, however I have serious concerns with a plastic mesh being left inside my body to slowly dissolve. Assuming I go ahead with the mesh, what would you suggest as a long-term approach to reducing the toxic load my body takes on from the mesh? (assuming it takes a couple of years to dissolve)? Thanks!
Nicole: Hi Dr Cabral. Im so glad I found you and your wealth of knowledge. I have a question and also need some encouragement. I have been sick with chronic fatigue and major gut issues for 4 yrs when I first became pregnant. I recently met with one of your health coaches and discussed my results for my hair tissue analysis, OATs and food sensitivity test. We decided on a path that was right for me based off the results which include a few supplements and doing the CBO protocol based off of probably sibo and candida . However since that meeting my naturalpath and I have found that I am likely also suffering from crohns. The super sad part is so is my 3 yr old. :( my question is this, is there anything in addition to the cbo and citrocidal drops with the sensitive gut guide I and my 3 yr old should do? I do not have any food sensitivity besides dairy. I also need more encouragement that this crohns can be fully healed/ reversed! Thank you dr Cabral
Nicole: Hi Dr. Cabral. I have another question. My ANA recently went positive with no direct corilation to any direct "dis-ease" and I've developed progressively worse eye pain/dryness that drops do not fix. I've also get extremely bloating and painful abdomen everywhere as soon as I lay down to nap or go to bed. I KNOW my gut is a wreck. I eat soooo clean. Everything organic, lots of veggies, and I follow your daily nutritional support and greens each morning in a smoothie. I do intermittent fasting and the only thing I can think of that needs major work is my stress....we r in the middle of a move and its been challenging. I guess my question is what the heck am I missing? Food sensitivities are all negative besides dairy. I also have low thyroid...I've brought down my antibody levels there from 600 to under 15 and lowered my medication! So at least there is one win! Lol any help is greatly appreciated
Mrs. Rosen: what can do about low thyroid? anti bodies against thyroid?
