Some gurus preach skipping breakfast all together, while others recommend making breakfast the largest meal of the day...

Then there are those stating that lunch should be your biggest meal when digestion is strongest, but won't that leave you feeling tired?

And finally, some advocates (especially in weight loss) recommend making dinner your smallest meal, while others often times eat very little during the day and save one large meal for before bed...

Today, on #CabralConcept 249 we'll clear up all the confusion and help you understand why there is one clear cut winner for what really should your largest meal of the day - tune into to today's show for all the details!

When I first heard about and was diagnosed with "leaky gut," it wasn't given any real merit by conventional medicine. It was considered a made up, natural medicine myth or ailment...

Now, 20 years later it's not only mainstream medicine, but they're actual giving people fecal transplants! It's funny how allopathic medicine always has to take it to that next level ; )

On a more serious note, leaky gut (intestinal permeability) is actually very important to understand and discuss. And it's so prevalent in today's world, that on today's #CabralConcept 248 I'm going to list the symptoms you may be suffering from that typically are caused by leaky gut root cause issues...

Don't miss today's informative show how what is leaky gut and why everyone is now talking about it - enjoy the show!

After sifting through some amazing books I just read this week, as well as looking into "what's working now" in my Boston practice, I wanted to bring you our #FridayReview!

The book I found this most interesting this week is a short piece on how we can actually predict our behavior and our outcomes based on the habits we choose on a daily basis. It's a very interesting read on how by using certain questions & triggers we can begin to achieve things in our life we never thought possible...

Next up, I want share with you a fantastic nutritional supplement that calms anxiety and stress, while inducing deep relaxation. It's great for day-time stress reduction, or even taken before bed to get into a deep restorative sleep...

And last, but not least, I found a product that combines 7 kettlebells into 1 to save you money and space, while still being able to get in a great home workout!

Tune into #CabralConcept 244 for all the details and reviews - enjoy the show!

If you're suffering from digestive issues, bloating, fatigue, skin, headache, or autoimmune issues there is one thing you must clean up before anything else...

That one thing is finding out what the offending foods are that are causing the systemic inflammatory immune reaction creating the outward symptoms you are now experiencing as your "dis-ease."

You can use elimination, rotation, exclusion & other diets to pinpoint those foods, or complete a simple at-home food sensitivity test...

For details on how to complete this and begin the healing process tune into today's #CabralConcept 241. Enjoy the show!

Some people seem to be born with strong willpower and a knack for easily sliding into healthy habits and sticking to them, while others trudge through day in and day out trying their hardest to stick with a plan...

The truth is though that everyone develops habits in the same way, it's just that not everyone is conscious of how they're doing it...

Today, on #CabralConcept 240 I'm going to break down the psychology and demystify how anyone can begin to develop a range of habits that will serve them and help them accomplish any goal they set for themselves!

Intermittent fasting can be one of the most powerful ways to heal your body and achieve your ideal body weight, but it must be done correctly...

And by that I mean that you should not fast longer than your body can tolerate. Just because a little is good, does not mean "more will be better..."

In today's #Cabral Concept 235 I explore how long you should be fasting for each day and when to fast longer, if at all. I also touch on whom intermittent fasting is NOT a good idea for... Enjoy the show!

We're back with a brand new Cabral HouseCall answering your questions from the past week!

Check out today's question & answer below:

(Anonymous): 1. Does your body odor directly correlate with your diet? If I cheat, I find I have bad smelling armpits/breath is this related?

(Anonymous): 2. Do you recommend apple cider vinegar in your water daily? Bad for teeth?

(Anonymous): 3. What supplements can I take to help with my acne?

Lisa: Hi, I start everyday listening to your daily podcasts. I've learned many valuable things so thank you! I am a few years into my autoimmune, adrenal fatigue, female hormone recovery and one thing I don't hear very often is what actual numbers should optimally be whether it be female hormones, thyroid, adrenal numbers. Sometimes I would like to order tests on my own but don't feel confident reading them on my own. I am 51 and still going through menopause.

Cristie: What is your take on steroids and the effects on the body?

I hope you enjoyed this week's HouseCalls and please feel free to leave your own question and I'd be happy to answer it on an upcoming show!

Too often we choose our workout based on what we see in magazine, whatever is most popular this month, or maybe at friend's suggestion...

The problem is that your workout can either do wonders to build up your health and transform your body, or it can slowly break you down and make you feel worse overtime...

What I'd like to do today is share with you how to find the best workout for you. This means you'll learn how your exercise routine should actually balance out your life and not push it in one direction or the other...

Sep 21, 2016

After hearing a story the other day about how a child at daycare was being given Skittles (candy) as a reward for good behavior, I knew I needed to share this with you...

When food is provided as a reward for doing "good work" or behaving in a certain way that the parent/teacher is looking for, it begins hardwire the brain in a way that looks at food now as something beyond just fuel for the body...

Food has now become linked with being "good," and "feeling good." This can set children (and adults) up with lifelong emotional and mental struggles with using food as a means to comfort themselves...

This reward system concept can actually be applied to anything and does not have to just consist of food as the reward...

Tune into today's #CabralConcept 228 as I explain the research behind this psychology, which comes from an amazing book called "Punished by Rewards." I'll also show you how to break the cycle and live a healthier life, both physically and emotionally!

I know you've been told over and over that to lose weight, get well, end the joint pain, improve your mood, and sleep better that you must reduce inflammation...

I don't deny that decreasing inflammation will help every area of your body and health, but I do want to let you know reducing inflammation is not the answer in the long-run...

You see, inflammation is still just a symptom. That means it is being caused by something else. Which means, there is an underlying root cause to why that inflammation is present in your body...

Listen in on today's #CabralConcept 227 as I explain how to get at the underlying imbalances that are keeping you from achieving your body transformation and wellness goals!

Have you ever noticed that the people that do the most criticizing and judging are typically the unhappiest with there own life?

Over the years I've come to see that placing judgment on others actually hurts you more than it does the other person. The reason for this is that when you are always living in a world of judgment, you become a victim of it yourself in your own mind…

Tune into today's #CabralConcept 226 where I discuss why people can be so critical of others and how to escape this vicious cycle so that you can begin living a life of peace of mind and prosperity!
